A collaborative effort, Shelby County Daily News (The Addison Times), features local ownership and countywide reporting. Anna Tungate, who has over 20 years of newspaper operations experience, assists in news collection. Tungate previously served as general manager for the weekly Saturday Shelby.
Kristiaan Rawlings, M.Ed., who owned Saturday Shelby and has served on the advisory board of Indiana Public Radio and Indiana Public Broadcast at Ball State University, is an associate member of the Hoosier State Press Association, writes feature articles for Shelby County Daily News (Addison Times), and teaches English at Shelbyville High School (SHS). He holds degrees from New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!) and Oglala Lakota College on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and is a proud SHS alumnus.
Student writers Isabella Matney (Shelbyville Central Schools) and Grace Schlabach (Southwestern) cover current issues in education. Student writer Miriam Garringer focuses on human interest topics.
Gabrielle Reed, Indiana University School of Journalism graduate, Shelbyville High School alumnus, and co-starter of Saturday Shelby, oversees product development and writes for The Shelby County Daily News. Reed is a digital marketer in Nashville, Tenn.
